The rings — never skip a hop
- int — Integration: first landing for new builds and AI / API changes.
- test — Test: automated and QA validation, eval suites, load smoke.
- acc — Acceptance: business / staging gate before customers.
- prod — Production: the only ring that serves customers.
Why AI teams need it
Model weights, agent runtimes, MCP gateways, and inference sidecars ship on different cadences. A plain “green health check” can lie when an old version still answers 200. Ring Promoter’s optional version-verified health requires the endpoint to report the exact version just deployed — otherwise auto-rollback kicks in. Auto-promote can rush early rings while humans keep the gate to prod.
